Retaining Bracket for Quickie P222 Swing-away Hanger
thingiverse
Human: Update: I've uploaded a bolt-on version of these brackets. They are held more firmly in place and require a tool to add and remove.\nThe swing-away footrest hangers on the Quickie P222 are difficult to operate with one hand due to off-axis pressure from the foot, causing the hanger to go out of the vertical once released. The latching mechanism fails to work properly unless the hanger bushing is pressed against the receiver, a task that requires two hands.\nThis bracket is designed to slip over the latch assembly and hold the bushing firmly against the receiver. It was created to attach without fasteners so it can be removed without tools.\nThis bolt-on bracket is designed to mate with the Quickie P222 70 Degree Swing-Away Hanger, and may also work with hangers that use the same pin & latch mechanism.
