Retaining Bracket for Quickie P222 Swing-away Hanger (Bolted)
thingiverse
These bolted-on versions of my previous brackets offer a firmer hold in place. The drawback is that they need a tool to remove. The swing-away foot rest hangers on the Quickie P222 are hard to operate with one hand alone. Once released, off-axis pressure from the foot causes the hanger to go out of the vertical plane. The latching mechanism doesn't work properly unless the hanger bushing is pressed against the receiver, requiring two hands. This bracket is designed to slip over the latch assembly and hold the bushing against the receiver. This version was created to use existing hex bolts which need a hex key (Allen wrench) to add and remove. I recommend storing the hex key on the underside of the hanger skirt with a magnet so that it's ready to hand when needed. This bracket is designed for the Quick P222 70 Degree Swing-Away Hanger. It may also work with hangers using the same pin & latch mechanism. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: No
