The RestDeck was designed after realizing that a lot of us use the Steam Deck in bed, and finding out that gaming for periods longer than 20-30 minutes can become tiresome for many people. There are two ways to use your RestDeck; the standard one is by holding your Steam Deck/Switch like you normally would, and allow the arms of your RestDeck to support most of the weight of the device. This alone alleviates a lot of discomfort for long periods of use since you’re merely balancing the device without it’s weight resting on your wrists/forearms. The second way to use your RestDeck is by using the center legs, which allows the device to be fully rested on your bed and torso. No need to balance it. You need to use a wireless controller for this scenario, or a couple of Joy-Cons so you can have your arms fully rested on the side of the bed. Note that a recent Steam update has allowed for the use of Joy-Cons on the Steam Deck, so this method of playing is not exclusive to the Switch. In the case of using your RestDeck with a tablet, then the second is the only method possible as there are no integrated controls from which to hold the device, and it’s a much more comfortable way to enjoy content. THIS DOWNLOAD INCLUDES THE NECESSARY PARTS FOR STEAMDECK, NINTENDO SWITCH (NON-OLED), AND TABLETS. You can preview the manual here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RVqcmyaPlM27tOZslXf5GGsM53jQoyeQ/view?usp=share_link 1.01 Update: Modified part 3 to remove unnecessary excess material that could cause wear marks from constant use on the SteamDeck or Skins attached to the Deck. Only part 3 (base for SteamDeck) needs to be reprinted in case this is a concern.
