Resqme visor clip remix
thingiverse
I like the idea of a remix mash-up inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2359947, merging it with https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1792579 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2792852. The visor mount is a great concept, but I want to use the keychain as a means of removing the ResQme from the holder. With the current visor mount design, it's not possible. Using berky93's thing along with DREIDK's very handy sunglasses visor clip, I'm looking to create that type of mount. The idea is to have the mount on the left or right side of the visor so when you pull the keychain, the mount binds to the visor and out pops the ResQme. Not keen on the amount of support required, but I'm unable to figure out a way to print it without supports. That's the plan, will see how it works in practice. Don't think this will work printed as one piece due to the only possible orientation, which prints the curved/arched section with horizontal lines going the full width. The moment you insert a ResQme, it snaps. V2 will be printed in 2 separate parts that need to be glued together using epoxy - not my favorite solution. Also just noticed that on my print of RESQME Car Escape Tool Mount by berky93, it isn't quite wide enough to accommodate the tool without deforming the base. Which will be another reason the curved part snapped on my version. Will slightly extend the holder part and see what that does. V2 width has been extended to stop the base from deforming, making the curve section snap off - not printed that as yet. Testing just the tool holder section for now. ***Update*** Have abandoned previous version as it keeps snapping due to print orientation. V3 works perfectly. 3 slightly different visor widths have been added.
