Respirator Pre Filter

This is a pre-filter designed to catch larger particles/dust in a coarse filter media, extending the life of more expensive carbon/VOC filters. It fits over standard MSA respirator cartridges. Print Settings: I printed with ABS plastic. PLA may not be flexible enough for grilles to snap on/off. Post-Printing: Remove the respirator cartridges from the mask. Place a large box over the cartridge, attaching it loosely. Stuff air filter media into the box, compressing it and filling the volume. I used 4x12" heating duct vent filters, trimmed and folded over. Snap the grille into place; the filter media will push against the respirator cartridge, securing the pre-filter. Repeat this process for the other side if necessary. Replace the filter media when it becomes clogged.
