We're facing a severe shortage of this essential product globally, and it's no surprise that Healthcare professionals are at the forefront of fighting this disease. Many countries have also recommended using these masks on public transport to prevent the spread of the virus. Although these masks are effective, they come with some significant drawbacks, including a lifespan of only 8 hours. A far more critical issue is that SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) can survive on various surfaces for up to 72 hours. To create the mask, grind the parts together with 20% filling without any support or rafts. Next, heat the Mask to a temperature of 55-60 degrees using a hairdryer or hot water. The circular component must remain intact due to its thickness, which prevents it from deforming. As the material softens, bring the wings closer to your nose and adjust the straps on your lower jaw. You can secure them in place with a small piece of rubber if needed. Once warmed up, put on the mask for final adjustments, ensuring it's not too hot to handle. If you notice any parts that feel uncomfortable or are too tight, insert a soft rubber piece into the contact areas. To add an extra layer of protection, screw on one or more additional filters. You can use either a single or double circular piece from a conventional mask (unwoven propylene) or attach a facial pad for makeup. Using half a cushion can make breathing easier. Finally, secure the elastics/straps in place.
