Respirator for Casting in Silicone or Printing

The respirator mask is specifically designed for casting in Silicone such as Mold Star 31T, a skin-safe mold material available from Smooth-On, with links provided at the end of this write-up. To facilitate easier casting, I've thickened the mask walls and added ribs to help maintain its shape when cast in softer, skin-safe silicone like Dragon Skin 10. The connection points for the mask are located on a straight edge along the back, simplifying molding and casting processes. The files provided include the positive of the mask, inner filter, and outer filter cover. Printing these files can yield a single mask, although this design is intended for casting in skin-safe silicone. Filters can be printed directly or cast in resin using mold box files and Task 8 from Smooth-On, a high-temperature, quick-curing resin that withstands low-level autoclave sterilization.
