Respirator conversion Filter adapter for ResMed Airfit F20 mask
thingiverse
I've accumulated a collection of older CPAP masks at home, much like many people who rely on these machines for sleep therapy. These older models provide a comfortable fit and maintain a tight seal thanks to their silicone construction. To enhance their functionality, I've designed an adapter that allows users to insert standard CPAP filters directly into the mask's end. For those with access to N95 filter media, it's also possible to cut them down to size for added convenience. As I'm not a medical professional, I'm sharing this information in the hopes that others may find it useful or even identify areas for improvement in the design. I've been experimenting with another concept that incorporates an exhalation valve, which could potentially extend its usage period. However, please keep in mind that this design would only provide protection to the wearer themselves and not to those around them if they're infected. It's essential to prioritize your health and heed the advice of local medical experts regarding social distancing and other preventive measures.
