Respirator Cleaner (steamer)

Respirator Cleaner (steamer)

I currently have two family members in quarantine due to recent international travel. They need constant respirator use at home to prevent bacterial spread. Normally, respirators are widely available, but my area is facing a severe shortage - they're completely sold out everywhere. It's easy to comprehend that frequent use of the same mask can be extremely unhygienic. To combat this issue, I designed a simple tea kettle mask holder. After repeated use, simply place the mask on the kettle mount and let steam sanitize it. This solution isn't foolproof, but it does help eliminate the unpleasant odor associated with old respirators. I've attached the STL files for reference. When printing, I used no supports and set the infill to 20%. The material was PLA, which hasn't shown any signs of warping when exposed to steam.
