Resistor Storage

Resistor Storage

thingiverse

Here is yet another 3D printable resistor storage solution that can also be used for storing other small items like LEDs, transistors, screws, nuts, etc. The design features drawers of four different sizes. Each drawer face is printed separately and then attached to the drawer using a strong adhesive. These faces are printed in two colors and display the value of the stored resistors. Alternatively, you can choose from a variety of other face designs that include cutouts. After attaching them to the front of the drawers, you can insert a piece of paper with a handwritten or printed label describing the contents. Printing an entire storage unit with 168 drawers requires over 200 hours and 1.5-2 rolls of filament, making it heavy and costly. All parts are printed in PLA, while the vertical sections are glued together using Super Glue. To ensure proper printing, the bed needs to be extremely well leveled, especially when printing labels. Due to potential variations in tolerance between different printers and slicer settings, I recommend printing a single drawer first to ensure it fits properly before proceeding with bulk printing.
