Resistor box
thingiverse
I was searching for a container that could hold my 1/4W Through Hole Resistors safely for an extended period. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the right box to suit my needs, so I had to settle for a larger one than necessary. Then, I considered making a custom box out of wood or paper, but that idea was quickly dismissed due to the time and effort it would require. I just didn't have the luxury of spare time to devote to such a project. However, with my recent acquisition of a 3D printer, designing and printing a box became an incredibly simple task. I decided to take advantage of this new technology and create a custom box specifically for storing my resistors. The finished box measures approximately 194x187x15mm and features 30 individual compartments. Each compartment has dimensions of about 62x17x10mm, allowing me to store up to 40 1/4W Through Hole Resistors in each one. While it's technically possible to pack more resistors into each compartment, I wouldn't recommend doing so, as it would make closing the lid quite difficult. The photos show 20 resistors per compartment because I had recently ordered a large set of 600 resistors (30 values with 20 pieces each).
