Resin Vat Stirring
prusaprinters

I don't always empty my resin vats, nor do I use them within 48 or so hours so the resin separates in the tank. I noticed the gray I have is particularly bad, it can want to settle out by the end of a long print. It sat for about 3 days and it perfectly became two layers of clear resin and gray pigment. I didn't want to risk my FEP, so I decided to try something.

Enter the agitation code; I typed up a simple gcode file that ensures the LED is off, homes the resin printer, then dips buildplate into the resin and moves up and down from Z0.1mm to Z15mm 35 times to agitate and stir the resin to ensure it's blended and ready to go without needing to stick a plastic spatula in and manually stir it and risk poking the FEP. Takes about 6 minutes to run and at least for my horribly separated gray, blended it perfectly except near the post that attaches the build plate, but that's to be expected as it didn't get much movement, and I was a bit low on resin to begin with.

Made specifically for my Mars 2 Mono, and likely works fine on the entire Mars line and derivatives using the same Chitubox platform (such as Anycubic). I don't have an SL1 to test, but if it can accept gcode as well, it should work. As my other files, you can open it in a text editor to see what it does, and everything is commented.
