(Resin) Cut & Supported: Wood Colossus by mz4250
thingiverse
This is the model by "mz4250" that I've dissected into manageable parts for streamlined support on a resin printer. I printed on my Elegoo Mars, priming it with spray paint. A compact gallery of images can be viewed here: https://imgur.com/gallery/4QlpNCU Please pardon my lack of sanding; the "elephant foot" at seams and the support nubs are noticeable. I've attached the following files: the full plate as a single STL the individually supported STLs (in a zip folder) the cut (unsupported) STLs (in a zip folder) the Mweshmixer file (post-cut) the PrusaSlicer files for each part (in a zip folder) the Chitubox file for the full plate (in a zip folder) Note: some files were modified after others were created. Here's what I did: First, I sliced the model in Mesh Mixer. Next time, I would approach it differently, especially concerning the armpits. I supported each part in PrusaSlicer by: starting with auto-supports and then manually editing them exporting to STL with supports since most parts are intended to have the cut/seam on the build plate, I re-imported them and trimmed off the bottom 6mm of supports before saving as an STL again finally, I loaded them in Chitubox, arranged them on the plate, and sliced the file. Personal note: You don't need to give me credit; my alterations can be considered CC0. However, since I didn't create the model, its license matches the original item to avoid confusion.
