The Resilience Project is a bold and creative response to the current pandemic situation, showcasing our capacity to build strength in this challenging time and reimagine the world from scratch. This new recovery must be a collective effort where everyone has access to all elements of creation. We propose 3D printing as a democratic medium for art and fashion, introducing two downloadable pieces that anyone can produce anywhere on the planet. No extra materials are needed, no sewing skills required - our designs assemble easily as they come out of the printer. To feel confident in wearing plastic garments, we explain how to print with a net-like texture that's fresh and comfortable. Instructions for customizing the garment to your size are also included, including links to remodel pieces on Thinkercad. We're innovating by applying 3D printing technologies to fashion production, but if we distribute it the old way, have we really changed the game? That's why we want you to download and create the garments on your desktop 3D printer. The experience of creating your own garment changes your emotional connection with it and your approach to consuming fashion.
