The client requested modifications to part of their construction project, which had been started without an initial plan in place. The goal of the request was to remove a column that was incompatible with the architectural design. A solution was found to overcome the limitation on using columns by employing Vierendeel posts supported by a rigid beam inverted on the roof floor to support the large span in balance at the 1st floor.
