Reset Pushbutton and Washers for LCD2004 Display
thingiverse
I recently built a Geeetech I3 Pro B for a friend. When I reached the display panel, I noticed some changes from a similar printer I assembled three years ago that I didn't appreciate. The display was set back so far in the bezel that it looked unfinished. The reset pushbutton that used to be right below the skirt of the knob had become just a hole on the panel, requiring you to search for the small reset button about half an inch away. I wouldn't want to operate this printer without a reset push button, and probably the recipient wouldn't either after their first time needing to shut it down quickly. Here are some parts that will partially correct the situation: thinner shim washers that move the display forward a bit but not as much as possible. Also included is a pushbutton that fits in the assembled display package and provides a front panel reset as originally designed. You can adjust the Z dimension of both parts for a better fit if desired. These are small parts, so you usually get a better print when printing multiple items at once due to increased time between layers for any one part.
