A reserve head from the Old Kingdom, specifically Dynasty 4 of Egypt's Khufu to Khafre reigns, dates back to around 2551–2494 B.C. This artifact was discovered in Giza, Egypt, within Tomb G 4440. Measuring 30 x 21 x 26 cm (11 13/16 x 8 1/4 x 10 1/4 in.), the object is made of limestone and resides in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston as catalog number 14.719.
