In 2009, archaeologists launched a massive excavation project on the southeastern slopes of Hradisko at Mušov (Mušov - Burgstall), spanning nearly four hectares, to clear the way for an Aqualand Moravia amusement park. As geophysical surveys had suggested earlier, two parallel lines of substantial fortification structures were unearthed in V-shape ditches, likely linked to the Roman military presence during the Marcomannic wars. Alongside these findings, archaeologists uncovered nearly the entire floor plan of a large military camp building (valetudinarius - hospital) and a skeletal grave that might be the sole anthropological remnants of the Roman occupation. In addition, numerous artifacts and features from various periods, including Prehistory and Protohistory, were documented and excavated during this extensive archaeological operation.
