In 2017 a meticulous rescue excavation on the eastern edge of the village Bořetice in South Moravia, Czech Republic uncovered crucial evidence of La Tene and Roman period settlement activities. Notably, multiple sunken-floor dwellings with significant representative material were unearthed. This model showcases one of the complex archaeological situations examined during this excavation. A trench created by the rescue excavation inadvertently intersected a Prehistoric settlement feature, which was later altered by a Celtic sunken-floor dwelling that in turn was superimposed by a Germanic oven. The artifacts from this feature proved especially fascinating, including substantial metal sheet fragments from a Roman helmet of the Niedermormtern type - a remarkable find that is also represented by a model of the largest part of the helmet discovered to date.
