Requested Adafruit Servo Motor Shield
grabcad
This Adafruit servo/stepper motor shield is designed for use with Arduino Mega PCB. It features 2 connections for 5V 'hobby' servos linked to the high-resolution dedicated timer of Arduino, resulting in no jitter. This shield can also handle up to 4 bi-directional DC motors with individual 8-bit speed selection, offering about 0.5% resolution. Additionally, it supports up to 2 stepper motors (unipolar or bipolar) with single coil, double coil, interleaved, or micro-stepping options. Each motor is powered by a L293D chipset that provides 0.6A per bridge (1.2A peak) with thermal shutdown protection, and operates within 4.5V to 25V voltage range. The shield comes equipped with pull down resistors that keep motors disabled during power-up, and includes big terminal block connectors for easy wire hook ups. It also has an Arduino reset button brought up top, and a 2-pin terminal block for connecting external power to separate logic/motor supplies. This motor shield has been tested compatible with Mega, Diecimila, and Duemilanove models.
