Repurposed Wal-Mart Floor Lamp
thingiverse
I previously repurposed an articulating lamp from a Mainstays floor lamp at Wal-Mart for a new purpose. Now, it's mounted on the wall in my workshop. To accomplish this, I had to disassemble the floor lamp by disconnecting and reconnecting wires, so proceed with caution if you're not comfortable with this type of task. It mainly involved unscrewing parts and using pliers to unclamp and reclamp wire connectors. For mounting, I used four #8x1-1/4 in. sheet metal screws from Home Depot. These are designed for easy lamp swapping, as I sometimes move it to different locations in the workshop with a similar wall mount. Simply feed the power cable through the side of the mount. You may want to sand down the area where the cable passes through, but I haven't done so yet.
