The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, famously known as "Ski-U-Mah," was a high-performance WWII fighter/bomber aircraft designed with a large Pratt and Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp engine. First flown on May 6, 1941, it was introduced to the US Army Air Corps in June 1942 for service in the European Theater. The model is highly detailed and ideal for close-up renders; it comes with bodypaint textures and standard materials within a zip file. The model includes alternative equipment options such as a rocket launcher, droptank, or M65 bomb. Inside the scene are 24 textures, two materials, and an alpha map. The files require no cleaning up and can be dropped directly into the scene for rendering. No special plugins are needed to open the scene, and it features Phong shading interpolation at a 35-degree angle. Both flying and standing versions of the model are included in separate parts within the .obj, .lwo, and .fbx files. In these formats, the alpha map for the propeller (Run_Alpha) in the flying version must be manually loaded into the material or opacity channel. The model is available in c4d R11 and R16 versions with 151,170 polygons, 105,662 vertices, and 31 objects, including 24 textures, two materials, and an alpha map.
