The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, famed as the top aircraft in WWII, was first flown on 6 May 1941. Designed as a high-performance fighter/bomber, it boasted a large Pratt and Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp engine for exceptional performance and load capacity. Deliveries began in June 1942 for the US Army Air Corps in Europe. Later, Thunderbolts supported B-29 bombers in the Pacific and excelled in ground attack roles across European battlefields. Distinguished by razorback fuselages initially, later models featured bubble canopies for enhanced rearward visibility. This model, originally created in cinema4D, is detailed enough for close-up renders and comes with bodypaint textures and standard materials in a zip file. It includes an alternative equipment option with a rocket launcher, droptank, or M65 bomb. Inside the scene, you'll find the model along with 24 textures, 2 materials, and 1 alphamap. No special plugins are needed to open it, and no cleaning is required—just drop your models into the scene and start rendering. The Thunderbolt's file contains separate parts for flying and standing versions; however, in obj, lwo, and fbx formats, the run_alpha propeller map must be manually loaded in the material/opacity channel. Available in c4d R11 and R16, the model consists of 151,170 polygons, 105,662 vertices, and 31 objects with 24 textures, 2 materials, and 1 alpha-map.
