Initially designed as a low-cost evolution of the straight-winged Thunderjet, the F-84 was ultimately a completely new aircraft. Built with swept wings, the performance gain compared to the Thunderjet fell just short of impressive, but production began in 1950 and continued until introduction into service in 1954. Withdrawn from USAF active duty in 1964, the F-84 remained in service with the ANG until 1972. Used by most NATO countries and Taiwan's RCAF, the F-84F was equipped with six M3 caliber .12.7mm guns and up to 2,700 kilograms of rockets and conventional bombs or a single Mark 7 nuclear bomb. 1:100 scale models are available but printed at 1:285 with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.12mm layers. In the image from Cura display, the position I tried is shown. September 16, 2019: errors were found; corrections were made.
