Reptile S800 Sky Shadow Motor Mount
pinshape
This mount advances the motor 11 mm into cleaner air so it operates more quietly. It will support a 6 inch propeller, potentially 7 inch, depending on the motor's height. Print in PETG for enhanced strength and heat resistance. I suggest using a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer height, 3 perimeters, and 30% infill. Drill the holes with a 3 mm drill bit. Attach with 16 mm M3 bolts and nuts. I fastened the nuts into the S800 wooden motor mount by epoxying them in place, taking care not to contaminate the threads. Then I secured the carbon fiber plate over the wooden plate using glue, being cautious to keep it off the threads.
