The Budget-Friendly S800 or S600 Mini Wing is a 26" flying wing that was built on the cheap. This project was completed in just one weekend by combining two molded EPP S800 replacement wings purchased from Banggood for an incredibly low price of $14! The remaining parts were sourced from old mini quads. Links to purchase the used parts are provided below. The Electronics Tray is indexed with the end of the cutout for the center blunt section of the S800, and it should be used as a guide to mark where foam needs to be removed for the battery tray. The battery is positioned quite far forward due to the location of the video transmitter and receiver in the side bays behind the CG. A hole can be drilled through the electronics tray if desired to run a horizontal spar. The front edges of the battery bay will require trimming/sanding to match up cleanly with the airfoil. The motor mount area must be cut from the wing, and it should be attached using Goop or a cement adhesive, ensuring that the thrust angle is in line with the airfoil and the cut is square to the center line. A hacked Hardcore24 mount was used for the camera mount, which has been modified to fit the S600 airfoil. This mount should fit a mini or micro camera. The other option is using the HS1177 mount with crash guards. The winglets and center stabilizer fins were cut by hand from 4mm coroplast. UPDATE: STL's of the winglets and mid-stabilizers have been added to serve as templates/guides for cutting the coroplast. A cover for the VTX and x4r can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2156164. For this build, I opted to spar and laminate with 3mill film and install balsa elevons. The molded epp elevons would work fine, and I don't think laminate is required to get in the air. The CG is roughly 5" from the nose. It's also very important that the wing is balanced left to right; if it's too heavy on one side, launching will be challenging. I was able to hit the cg mark with a 1300-1500mah 4cell with a 2206 motor. Enjoy!
