The Ormerod Fan Duct is a custom designed system that integrates two fans into a single unit, utilizing a 5010 50mm radial blower that attaches directly via plain CA glue to minimize setup complexity and increase airflow while maintaining an exceptionally low noise profile during printing. A secondary advantage lies in the ability to completely turn off print cooling fan for specialized filaments like ABS without affecting the overall performance of the printer. Utilizing the stock 40mm axial hotend fan is no longer necessary with this new design as it can be easily replaced with a thinner, more efficient unit, resulting in considerable noise reduction compared to its predecessor while also doubling down on airflow during high-intensity print operations when the radial blower operates at full capacity.
