To enhance the hotend connection, I replaced the problematic six-way header pin connector with 9-pin D-type connectors. This modification attaches a connector below the extruder, consolidating both the bowden tube and electrical wiring at one point - the extruder. To install, print three copies, attach a D-type connector using M3 bolts and nuts, and secure it to the extruder with existing M3 bolts beside the bowden tube hole. Utilizing the following pinout ensures proper connection: Pin 1 for thermistor, Pin 2 for thermistor, Pin 3 unused, Pin 4 for fan +12V, Pin 5 for fan GND, and Pins 6/7 for heater cartridge. Alternatively, a 15-pin VGA connector can be used for additional signals like cooling fans.
