I am upgrading my old Prusa i2 with a RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller. This simple mount/holder was designed specifically for it and features the same style as the Mount for Geeetech GT2560 and the Prusa Mendel i2 modified x-axis endstop holder. The holder is carefully positioned so that pressing the rotary encoder does not cause the controller to bend around the threaded rod of the frame. To secure the 8 mm threaded rod, the mount/holder was designed to fit snugly around it. Use the OpenSCAD-file to make modifications as needed, and M3 nuts and bolts are recommended for assembly. Four spacers should be placed between the circuit boards. Two of the mounting bars have space for connectors - one on each side - allowing you to mount the display securely. The Geeetech GT2560 Rev A controller board was used in this design. When connecting the display, I encountered a problem: EXP1 was connected to the LCD and EXP2 was connected to the SD Card, but all that happened was a clicking sound. To resolve this issue, I had to force the connectors onto their respective ports in reverse.
