RepRap X-carriage

RepRap X-carriage

thingiverse

Featuring two self-aligning bushings on a single shaft and a 180-degree bushing on another, this RepRap X-carriage design negates the need for precise parallelism in shafts and perfect spacing. Further information about clamps and bushings can be found in the original part. To create it, use 1/8" delrin dowels such as these: mcmaster.com/#97155A426. Follow these steps: print, clean bushing holes with a knife, drill dowel holes, insert dowels, then bushings (avoid forcing them), and assess the fit of 180-degree bushing by scraping dowel edges if needed. Finally, align both bushings using an 8mm rod for seamless sliding.
