One-Piece Replacement Hotend Fan Duct/Heatsink - Simplified Design I aimed to redirect fan airflow for a quieter operation without sacrificing print airflow by using a slower, more efficient fan. Alongside this change, I raised the vents slightly for increased clearance and incorporated cable supports as well as a tie wrap attachment, creating one convenient replacement part that replaces two existing components. The design adhered to my standard of direct replacement parts; however, due to its unique layout, it necessitated rotating the heat sink by 90 degrees to allow airflow to flow downward (instead of horizontally), requiring an additional 3mm hole to be drilled into the heat sink - a manageable adjustment. Optional incorporation of the dc42's alternate IR sensor mounting point is possible, with further details available here: http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?340,309830,page=1
