This project involved building a Prusa Mendel with 1.8 steppers and a RAMPS 1.4 shield for an Arduino Mega. The process was challenging, requiring numerous specialized parts not originally designed to work together. Despite the difficulties, I successfully completed it. In my next video, I will showcase a working unit, followed by building a large unit for airless tires. Lessons learned include never forcing anything, always planning ahead with electronics, soldering all crimp connectors, using a plumb bob to align vertical rods, and not skimping on electronics, even if it's a good deal. Maker Gear hot ends can also be oven-baked. Buying a full kit is recommended to save stress, time, and money in the long run; suggest an in-country vendor. I will provide instructions on how to install software once I learn the process.
