Reprap Neo e3d v6 UPGRADE

Reprap Neo e3d v6 UPGRADE

thingiverse

Upgrade your Reprap Neo to the next level! This upgrade replaces the original Reprap Neo X-Axis, which caused me significant trouble due to its hotend issues. To overcome these problems, I designed a new carriage for the e3d lite6 and v6. The upgraded carriage features an integrated fan duct that cools the hotend filament efficiently. Feel free to create your own fan duct and upload it if you prefer; the existing one is available as a step file for download. To get more information about this upgrade, simply send me a message. All the parts are my original designs except for the V6 fan guard, which was inspired by this design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:607114) but modified by me. UPDATE: I've been asked if this Axis is compatible with the J-Head; in my opinion, it should be. However, I haven't tested it personally. The main difference between the V6 and the J-Head is their length - the J-Head is shorter, which means you can't mount the Nozzle Fan I designed. Yet, if you replace the Z Axis Endstop, you might be able to achieve a larger build height. UPDATE 2: After using this setup for two months, I've encountered not a single issue with glogging or any other problem. My printer runs almost continuously, allowing me to print day and night without interruption.
