The stock pulley is effective, but depending on your machine's design, this pulley extends its features to match the full length of the X-axis stepper drive shaft. This results in a truer rotation for enhanced precision. Print and use as desired; the M3 nut slot may need slight adjustment with an Xacto. A tap hammer and screwdriver blade can help set the nut into place. I've included the Inventor Fusion file for editing convenience, although the model was derived from my original Y Pulley and might appear more complex than necessary. The unique tooth design should eliminate any unnecessary play, preventing accuracy issues.
