Reprap heated bed generator
thingiverse
This processing sketch generates Eagle BRD files for custom-sized heated beds, enabling adjustable trace widths and spacing. The code calculates resistance based on specified parameters; however, it remains untested. To ensure accuracy, create a small test board with an easy-to-measure resistance (e.g., 50 Ohms) using a low-cost service like BatchPCB. Once verified, customize your example board with a design and use it as a coaster. The sketch uses Processing 2.0 to generate Eagle's native XML format for clean output files. After generating the board file, refer to the Processing window for resistance, current, and power draw estimates based on input voltage. Note that these numbers may not be accurate due to untested calculations; review the code's length calculation section before ordering boards. The files are available on Github for updates, while example files with added LED, connectors, and mounting holes demonstrate easy board transformation into practical applications.
