RepRap Enclosure Restraints

To safely transport your RepRap Prusa Mendel i1 or i2 without adjustments, secure it on a wooden base with foot restraints and tiedowns. First, print four foot restraints and 4-6 tiedowns. Position the machine on plywood (at least 1/2" thick) and mark the feet locations. Screw down the restraints, then mark lines between feet for tiedown placement. Avoid placing tiedowns in the center of the span to avoid obstructions. Lastly, fasten the threaded rod frame to enclosure tiedowns using zip ties. This setup also stabilizes the machine, enhancing print quality.
