RepRap Discount Smart Controller LCD Case
thingiverse
I modified Banholm's Y tensioner and added a ball mount for the LCD, giving me a centralized spot to stash it if needed. The thought of printing a few bolt-on mounts to stick randomly inside the enclosure for show just adds to the fun. This is my LCD case, but this version has some minor tweaks compared to the one shown because it's part of a larger project that includes Octoprint and other boards - which is still in progress. I'll only share the STL files, not the OpenSCAD ones, and will link these to my Stack Pack project once it's complete. To make this release better, I've added a longer SHTF button for easier access to the EMERGENCY SHUTOFF button and included a thru-hole to screw in an M3 for even more precise reach if needed. The mounting ball is now a separate piece that can be bolted anywhere or even printed multiple times for various mounting locations. When attaching it, use at least 10mm long M4 screws if the surface is 5mm thick, and choose longer fasteners if thicker surfaces will be mounted to. I've also included my stack pack lid for the case that fits under the LCD. For the ball, consider a higher infill setting of 60% or more to prevent it from collapsing or wearing out quickly.
