Create a PLA spool holder for your laser-cut spool roller by utilizing resources from your workshop. This holder is easily adjustable for any width spool and ensures smooth printing all night without supervision. However, be aware that PLA can be tenacious, especially near the end of a spool, so add a guide to mount under the front element for better filament feeding. Construct your holder using 2 lengths of 8mm or 5/16 threaded rod (approx 7-1/2" or 190mm), 4-608 bearings, 4 fender washers, and 16 nuts and normal washers. Assemble as shown in the photos, and you may need to twist the assembly for it to sit flat initially but will hold its position afterwards.
