This Spool Holder is specifically designed for MakerBot Replicator+ users. It takes mere seconds to install by attaching it to the rear of the machine, as shown in accompanying images. A built-in tab keeps it securely in place, preventing unwanted movement during printing. Having a second spool installed while printing greatly simplifies mid-print color changes. When you need to switch colors, simply pause your Rep+, unload the filament from the first spool, and reload from the alternative spool or system. This eliminates the need for manual spool changes, making it easier than ever to create multi-colored prints. This innovative Spool Holder has been engineered to accommodate a wide range of 3rd Party spools with varying sizes. It can accept spools up to 250mm in diameter, 57mm in width, and with core sizes exceeding 52mm. While compatible with many brands, please note that not all may be supported. When using MakerBot genuine filament, you can expect reliable printing performance due to its high standards of manufacturing. However, if you opt for 3rd party filament, be aware that low-quality materials can compromise print reliability and quality, potentially causing damage to your extruder. A Guide Tube Link file is also provided, allowing you to attach both guide tubes in a manner that mirrors the original path of the extruder. This ensures seamless operation with minimal interference. The Spool Holder's surface features strategically placed ribs to reduce friction, enabling smooth and effortless spool rotation with minimal drag. This system boasts ease of use, installation, and printing. Just be mindful of two key considerations: 1. When using the secondary/rear Spool Holder, note that the drawer will not slide up. If you need to change the spool in the drawer, simply lift the rear spool holder off its mounting position and relocate it behind the machine, keeping the connected guide tube clear of the drawer. 2. Position the unused Guide Tube around the side of the machine and away from moving parts, ensuring it doesn't interfere with printing while remaining easily accessible for filament color changes.
