Replicator Keyboard Cover
thingiverse
The exposed keypad & LCD circuit board was a design flaw, yet an extruded cover solves this issue effortlessly. This cover simply fits over the circuit board and secures in place by plugging the bottom chamber's chamfered hole. No additional hardware is required for installation. During my project, I utilized a raft to prevent corners from lifting and built support with a 1mm gap from the object. ABS plastic filament was extruded at 250°C while the build platform was maintained at 110°C. The screws for the circuit board are #4-40 thread, made of plastic. To install the cover, remove the LCD display's left end screws and rubber switch cover's top screws. Tap the extruded cover's 4 holes to prevent stressing the plastic screws. Align the cover over the circuit board, guiding the front-right corner wires through the notch in the cover end. Secure with the 4 screws. An update suggests using Suave Extreme Hold hairspray instead of Kapton tape for enhanced adhesion to the platform.
