I'm dealing with a sweaty situation - my printer's filament is situated near my exercise equipment! To combat this, I've designed a holder with pockets at the back panel for silica desiccant beads to absorb moisture. It's still a work in progress; I've adjusted the design from half to thirds due to shrinkage of about 1.5mm on the long edge. The 200mm x 3mm acrylic tube cost around £17 for 250mm on eBay, and they kindly cut it into two 125mm pieces at no extra cost. I'll post updates as improvements are made. New 3-part back and nut designs have been uploaded, but the nut might only be useful for those with a similar clone machine like mine, which uses 30mm plastic tube for filament holders. I've also added parts to fit 220mm tubes for larger reels, though two of the bigger ones might have a tight space, making cable placement tricky. One side is complete, with a 32mm hole saw used for the exit hole and an extended reel support hole to move the centers apart. Now I just need to find suitable sponge or foam to plug the exit hole.
