Replicator Extruder Fan Guard

Replicator Extruder Fan Guard

Various users on a forum have reported damaged blades on their Replicator extruder fans, indicating a need for fan protection. I'm undecided between the radial and honeycomb guard patterns; thus, I uploaded both versions. Although neither design impresses me much, I anticipate someone will come up with an improved pattern. The honeycomb pattern may be more restrictive in airflow and could benefit from a larger grid pattern. Printing the honeycomb version requires precise settings to achieve a full grid pattern. In contrast, the radial pattern is easier to print. Both designs need some cleanup to sharpen the overhang drool for proper clip attachment. To install, simply slide the guard down over the fan from the top, ensuring the bottom rests against the carriage. Note: some users reported high-pitched fan noise after adding the guard. The updated files (*2 versions) adjust the guard's position, moving it further from the fan blades to reduce noise (particularly for enclosed Replicators).
