Replicator Dual X Axis Cable Chain With Support Track
thingiverse
To tackle my X axis cable management issues, I designed a variation on an existing chain. Previous chains either provided too little flexibility, caused excessive bending, or lacked support methods. My improved chain design doesn't require support or rafts during printing. To assemble, print 12 main chain parts, 1 end part for each side, and 1 support track. Attach the top part to the X motor mount using a 10x3mm screw. Adjust the wires as desired and secure with zip ties in provided holes. Thread another zip tie through the support track and bottom connector. Position the support track so the chain barely misses the Y motor when the gantry is against the Y limit switch. Drill 2 3mm holes for the track, and fasten with 2 20x3mm screws and nuts on the inside. Finally, tighten the bottom zip tie and add an additional one to the lower track.
