The Makerbot Replicator Desktop boasts a sleek design, concealing its filament spool holder within the device itself, which is undeniably convenient. However, this design choice comes with a caveat: only specific spools will fit snugly in place. If you're keen to use an alternative spool, your options are somewhat restricted. To circumvent this limitation, attach the Spool Holder to the rear of the existing holder when it's in its loading position. Next, gently pull the filament tube so that the end of the tube aligns with the back of the machine, allowing the filament to smoothly enter the tube from behind.
