Replicator Cover Hanger Bolt Spacers v2
thingiverse
These 3mm spacers for drandolph's "3mm hood and cover" on Thingiverse (thing:23386) are vital in maintaining compression on the bolts securing the y-axis rods when hanging the front cover. Originally, I found them too close together, probably due to HBP-to-nozzle height issues, and they were also insufficiently high. To rectify this, I increased the center hole diameter by 0.35mm and printed two pieces with a layer height of .27, 100% infill, and one shell. The spacers have an inside diameter of 3.35mm, outside diameter of 4.35mm, and stand at 5.5mm tall. A "washer" piece measuring 8mm x 0.75mm completes the set, allowing for about 1mm movement on the front hood for easy installation/removal. In my quest to eliminate vibration sounds, I replaced the original spacers with shorter ones at a height of 4.5mm each. The cover fits snugly now, and combined with lift handles and stabilizer brackets from thingiverse.com/thing:27532, the vibration issue is resolved. Print without raft for best results.
