Replicator 2X Heated Platform Extension Cable

This extension cable elevates Replicator 2X's heated build platform connectors above chamber floor for easy removal without accessing machine underside. It includes Digikey parts like WM7992-ND Molex SL Connector Header, WM4583-ND FFC Female Connector, WM1324-ND & 1331-ND connectors, and WM3731CT-ND & 3729CT-ND terminals. Also, you'll need appropriate wires. The 4-position Molex SL connector is used for thermocouple but requires through-hole soldering instead of direct cable end connection. A backshell is needed for mounting the connector at cable end with strain relief. A cable-end housing (WM6676-ND) is available, but it involves crimping, which can be challenging without specific tools. Therefore, soldering the connector seems more manageable. The 100k-Ohm thermistor shouldn't affect temperature reading accuracy. Install male molex connector on original HBP power wire, and use this extension cable's female connector for a quick connect/disconnect. Please proceed with caution as installation is not yet done by the writer, and results may vary. Instructions include printing backshell, installing connectors on wires, and routing them through tygon tubing for resemblance to original HBP umbilical. Acetone was used for sealing backshell, but another method might be better due to potential mess.
