This dust filter and filament oiler are designed for Replicator 2X and Replicator 2's updated extrusion head, solving printing issues with Rep 2X when using PLA. The low-profile dual chambered version offers a sponge with oil in the upper chamber and a dry sponge in the lower chamber to catch excess oil. Only a thin layer of oil is required; less is more. The front door snaps on for easy cleaning and reloading. Recent updates include minor tweaks to improve fitting and minimize post-print cleanup, with left and right handed versions available for dual extrusion printing. Recommended settings are 0.2mm slice thickness or lower, three shells, and a 50% infill rate. Print the body and cover separately for optimal results, with the body benefiting from raft and support while the lid is best printed directly on the bed. Minor adjustments to the files enhance precise mating, with only the lid edges needing slight sanding down on Rep 2X prints.
