Replicator 2X E3D-v6 upgrade - adjustable
thingiverse
Based on the outstanding work by cadsys, but with several key enhancements. The extruder mount has been modified to accommodate a broader range of extruders, including the inexpensive Chinese aluminum ones I had readily available. The hot end mount is now a single piece as I found it difficult to position the clip-on fan mounts correctly without them shifting around. The hot ends are also easily height adjustable with a single locking screw to slide them up and down. However, the catch is that the hotend mount requires support during printing, but the original fan mounts did anyway so it's not a significant compromise. Drill out the holes in the hot end sliders to 2.5mm before tapping them M3. Because they pass through the print sideways, be extremely cautious with your tap and go slowly or the part may crack. Try increasing your print temperature by 10 degrees when printing the sliders; the extra layer adhesion should make them slightly stronger.
