Replicator 2x Enhanced Duct & Brightened Lighting System\nI initiated this project to print PLA with my Replicator 2x. First, I found a functioning cooling duct on Thingiverse and experimented with various models before settling on this one. (SSW, this model truly excels.) After printing and installing the duct, I knew it would be my permanent choice. However, there were two essential features missing from this model.\nThe Features I Desired\nTo have individual control over each duct\nEnhanced Visibility of Nozzles\nIndividual duct control was achieved by creating a shutter system. I designed the shutters to print in Magnetic Iron PLA and tweaked the duct to accommodate a 6mm x 2mm magnet. This ensured the shutters would glide smoothly but remain securely in place during printing.\nIncreased visibility was attained by adding two sets of LED strips inside the duct and incorporating case lights. Each set was wired in parallel, allowing for independent control of each lighting system. The brackets utilize the same magnets as the duct, enabling them to be mounted at any height within the case. All lights are controlled via the switch housing mounted on the front of the Replicator 2x.\nA video demonstrating the lighting system is available.\nThe majority of models were printed in ABS, with the exception of the shutters. If anyone has inquiries, feel free to ask.\nPrint Specifications\nPrinter Brand: MakerBot\nPrinter Model: MakerBot Replicator 2X\nRafting: No\nSupports: No\nResolution: 0.2 mm\nInfill Percentage: 20%
