This is an extrusion cooling fan mount specifically designed for MakerBot Replicator 2X users. To function properly, it necessitates a blower fan identical to the one found on the Replciator 2. However, be aware that this setup can sometimes overcool hot plastic, causing distortion due to excessive airflow. Additionally, you should note that its cooling effect can inadvertently lower the temperature of the hotends, even though the air stream is not directed at the heater itself. To prevent warping from radiant heating near the hotends, print it out of ABS material. This setup makes printing with PLA a remarkably smooth process on the 2X.
